Keys to the Kitchen was formed in 1988 by Dodie Phillips and Daisy Arnold to accommodate a need in the Kennebunks for cooking supplies. Both have a love affair with good food, cooking, and the apparatus that goes along with it. Daisy retired in 1998 and Dodie's daughter, Tammy, joined forces. Anita Tompkins has been managing the store for 16 years and there is a very loyal customer base as well as employee loyalty which allows for so many repeat customers.

In 2004, a second store was opened on Route 1 in Falmouth, ME which is flourishing. That store is managed by Kate Bishop and just celebrated its 4th anniversary.

Keys to the Kitchen offers a variety of goods for the accomplished chef or the student in her first apartment. We sell products from All-Clad, Henckels, Cusinart, Le Creuset, Krups, Aerogarden, Wusthof, Emile Henry, Kitchen Aid, as well as an incredible cookbook selection and unique items from smaller vendors.
